Well... I did have to go and tempt fate during the last post, saying things were getting better. Should have known better. Next thing I know, more family instances, followed by a daughter with Chicken Pox and a dog with a stomach bug.
I'm still chipping away at God of War, but with all that has been happening, it's been hard to focus on it. It also doesn't help that I am struggling to get into the game. I'll go into more detail once I actually finish it.

Name: Remnant 2
Date Completed: 25/04/2025
Every Friday (but now going to be Thursday), my brothers and I try to meet up and play a co-op game together. It's not always possible, but we try.
We've been playing this one since we completed the first game, Remnant From the Ashes, back in September 2024, and finally got round to finishing it.
Now, I'm not a big fan of Souls-like games. My reflexes are abysmal, so for most boss fights, I was pretty much the first to die. But it was a decent game.
I don't really remember much of the story, mainly because it took us so long to pick it up between sessions, but I got the overall gist of it. The last boss, though... he was a pain, particularly his second stage. But we got through it and we saw the end credits, though not quite sure what to make of that ending.
Now... for our next co-op game, we're going to play The Outlast Trials... Oh goodie...
BONUS ENTRY:

Name: Planetbase
Platform: Steam
Status: Released Product
Now, technically, this is a game that does have an ending, even though it plays more like a sandbox. However, I choose to add it here as a bonus game, because the 'ending' is if you complete all milestones for each planet.
Planetbase isn't a bad game. It is a little tough to get the balance right with personnel, resources, and food, but it is worth it once you see your colony begin to grow.
The main issue with Planetbase is that it gets repetitive very fast. There is no real technology tree; a limited number of rooms and items, and there are no additional features like exploration or anything. So while you do have four planets (three get unlocked as you complete milestones on the previous planet), sometimes it doesn't give you the incentive to really try to unlock them.
I do hear, however, that the developers are making a sequel to the game, and they are looking to improve on the mechanics and features. I'm willing to give it a try, because the first game wasn't bad. It just lacked more. Maybe if there had been the option of adding mods, it could have been a lot more fun.
Even though there have been some ups and downs this past month - scratch that, past MONTHS - I'm still trying to invest some time into my hobbies. If anything, it will help keep my sanity in check.
At some point, after God of War, I do want to try Dave the Diver. I was thinking of playing God of War: Ragnarok, but because I am having a hard time finishing the first one, I don't know if I will. I might have to revisit that possibility later down the line.
